“Soon after World Teacher’s Day (Oct 5), Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) announced a dramatic reduction in teacher vacancies as well as an agreement on the highest new teacher salaries in Michigan. This influx of educators will now benefit from New Teacher Center’s evidence-based coaching, mentoring, and support from veteran instructors to maximize their impact on our students. This continues the comprehensive plan to elevate DPSCD’s workforce with the best tools possible.
