From CEDAM: MSHDA QAP and NEP Program
October 28, 2020 @ 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
From CEDAM:
- Establishes February 1, 2021 as the upcoming funding round deadline
- Allocates 100% of the 2021 LIHTC ceiling to the February round
- Increases the amount of LIHTC in the Open Category and splits it into an Open Category for projects located in urban areas and an Open Category for projects located outside urban areas
- Changes its marketing process for the 9% LIHTC-only and Pass-Through program applications. Rather than ordering the market study through MSHDA, developers can select a market analyst from a MSHDA approved list of vendors. Market studies will be due February 1 with the rest of the application.

MSHDA is pleased to announce that the NEP program will provide up to two million dollars in MSHDA funding statewide for activities directly tied to stabilization and enhancement of Michigan’s rural communities and urban neighborhoods. The program’s intent is to fund tangible housing-oriented activities that are:
- implementation ready;
- highly visible;
- impactful to the area and residents’ quality of life; and
- where there is buy-in and demonstrated support within the area and where people are engaged and facilitate change.
Selection of awards will be made based on population, geographical distribution, area need and proposed use of NEP funds.
