In 2019, Governor Whitmer established the Poverty Task Force to bring together various stakeholders to develop an anti-poverty plan for Michigan. The Michigan Department of Labor & Economic Opportunity (LEO) recently released the 2021 Poverty Task Force Report, which outlines more than 30 policy recommendations to strengthen anti-poverty initiatives and bring opportunity to more Michiganders. Several recommendations strongly align with CEDAM members’ work and our policy priorities. On April 28 at 10am EST, join CEDAM, LEO, and members of the Poverty Task Force Advisory Committee for a conversation about the report and how we can advance policy recommendations that will help our members and the communities you serve. |
