- 11/8 at 9am MEDC and DEGC will be hosting a roundtable to discuss neighborhood holiday marketing campaigns to drive foot traffic. We hope you can participate!. Registration can be found here.
- Applications for Round 18 of Motor City Match are not live! Interested businesses can fill out application at the link. An Info Session is available today and tomorrow evening. Register here.
- Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses is now accepting applications for their winter 2022 Cohort. You can find more information about the program including testimonials from alumni at the link.
- CDAD and its partners are working to develop a centralized capacity building and technical assistance referral tool for all organizations engaged in community development work in Detroit and seeking proposals from consultants who can provide high qualify individualized technical assistance one on one or in cohorts. They will be gathering submissions through the link until 10/29.
- The NeighborHUB grant program, a partnership between General Motors and the Detroit Regional Chamber, is working to deliver 10 grants of up to $15,000 this year for small business improvement projects in Detroit. This could include new sign or facade improvements, equipment upgrades, or hiring. Applications are now open and more info can be found here. - Michigan small businesses with 250 employees or less can apply for a Michigan Occupational Safety and Health Administration matching grant up to $5,000 to make improvements to their workplace safety and health. More information can be found here.
- Co.Act Detroit is offering a workshop on Work-Life Balance Tips for Community Leaders on 11/3 at 11am. You can find more information or sign up for this important conversation here.
- Community Development Association of Michigan is offering a Real Estate Development Boot Camp Nov 8–10 which will include live virtual instruction and additional self-paced online sessions. You can find more information and registration info here.
- MEDC’s Winter Strategies Guide provides neighborhoods with ideas to give them a jumpstart on preparing for the upcoming winter season. The guide includes create solutions, community engagement, and example outdoor programming. You can download the guide here.
- Worker-Owned Detroit has $2M of financing available to transition an existing business to worker owned. An Info Webinar is scheduled for 11/4 at 10 and more information can be found here.
