The Downtown Detroit Partnership, together with Detroit Mayor Duggan, Chief James Craig and the Detroit Police Department, Councilwoman Lopez and Detroit City Council and all Detroiters, are mourning the senseless death of George Floyd. They are standing in solidarity as they light the city purple from June 4, 2020 through June 9, 2020 in tribute to his life.
