The report details six focus areas of economic equity in Detroit: income and wealth building, access to quality employment, business and entrepreneurship, education, health, and neighborhoods and housing.
CDC extends eviction moratorium
The CDC announced on Wednesday that they are issuing a limited eviction moratorium through October 3 for renters living in communities that are experiencing what the CDC calls "substantial" and "high" spread of the coronavirus. As of Tuesday this covers most of the United States.
Billions in Covid-19 Aid: Nonprofits Should Engage ASAP
With that remarkable model of understatement, the U.S. Treasury announced the launch of a $350-billion COVID-19 fund “to help turn the tide on the pandemic, address its economic fallout, and lay the foundation for a strong and equitable recovery.” The money was authorized in March 2021 through the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) for state, local, tribal nation, and territorial governments.
